It is desirable that the candidates have a
- Keen interest in Fashion and Textile Design
- Commitment to individual project based learning
- Genuine interest and passion in creative applied arts and culture, heritage, fine art, fashion and lifestyle trends, movie, theatre and music etc.
The course will be conducted in a semester–based system ofstudy and offers modulesrelating to following two areas of study and the selection of students to these areas is done according to a set criterion that is based on first year results and students choice.

Fashion Design Develop core skillsincluding design research, concept development, fashion product design and development (pattern making and garment technology) marketing (strategic marketing, consumer behavior and branding)

Textile Design Develop core skills including design research, concept development, textile product design and development (handloom/ power loom weaving, knitting, constructed textiles, and other textile surface developments such as colouring, printing and finishing methods), marketing (strategic marketing, consumer behavior and branding). Students will be responsible for the creation of a higher standard final portfolio including the sourcing of required materials. This Degree course blendsindividual creativity with commercial realism and graduates will be able to apply skills and knowledge of the professional design practice from concept to final product aligned to a specific customer, brand and market.
